Rainwater to clean Piccadilly line trains

A new rainwater harvest system is being built at Cockfosters depot ready for use in June. Less mains water will be needed to clean the 86 trains that run on the Piccadilly line. It’s estimated that by using rainwater to clean the trains, CO2 emissions will be reduced by up to one tonne a year; the equivalent of travelling end-to-end on the Piccadilly line 230 times!
