Track Operatives (Nights) (Closing date: 09-May-2008)

Role and Responsibilities:

The Track Manager is seeking to appoint Track Operatives to the Track Maintenance team on the Northern Line.  You will be required to carry out routine inspection and maintenance of track assets.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify and assess the condition of the track assets
  • Fully maintain and repair track assets, using the track equipment and machinery where appropriate
  • Inspect the Track using your knowledge of the Chief Engineers Standard
  • Work independently or with a small team

 

Required Skills and Experience:

You will be expected to work unsociable hours and weekends and you must be physically fit due to site work requiring significant stamina.  It is desirable that you have a clean, full driving license as you may be required to drive company vehicles on an ad-hoc basis.  You will be expected to obtain and maintain protection masters certification and license.  You should be willing to develop your skills to allow you to carry out other licensed duties.
