Position attained upon satisfactory completion: Senior Technician leading to Technical Officer. Train Maintenance – fault finding, maintenance and preparation of trains for service on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines. Position attained upon satisfactory completion: Train Maintainer. Track Technician – track design, survey, installation and maintenance of the track infrastructure. Position attained upon satisfactory completion: Technician in design, surveying or operational track office. Workshop / Plant Technician – being placed on various sections within the workshop covering general engineering topics such as machining, use of measuring and test equipment and train maintenance. Position attained upon satisfactory completion: Plant Maintenance Engineer. Escalator Technician – maintenance, installation, fault diagnosis and control of escalators within the London Underground. Position attained upon satisfactory completion: Escalator Engineer. Signal Design – Design, installation and maintenance related to signalling systems and their ancillary equipment. Position attained upon satisfactory completion: Signal Design Technician. ERU Technician – Covering many general engineering principles from the above, including survey, structures, fault finding, maintenance, machining and use of measuring and test equipment. Position attained upon satisfactory completion: Emergency Response Unit Operator.
