As part of our commitment to modernising transport in London, we are heavily investing to deliver a number of projects to support flagship initiatives currently under development throughout the capital. Completed projects include: Enlarging Wembley Park station, the gateway to the new Wembley Stadium, to reflect the scale and status of the new stadium Supporting London Underground and Heathrow Airport Ltd in extending the Piccadilly line to Heathrow Terminal 5 Increasing capacity at North Greenwich station by constructing new escalators to accommodate passengers travelling to the O2 . Current projects we are working on include: Working with London Underground to improve accessibility at stations Easing congestion at the busy station at Covent Garden Researching innovative techniques to cool the temperature on the Tube. This is very important in keeping passengers comfortable, particularly during the summer.
